The event will take place at Callahan Hall in the Lewiston Public Library. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with the event scheduled to start at 6:30.
Dunlap, a Democrat who resides in Old Town with his wife and daughter, said about the event: “I’ll share my vision for Maine, answer your questions, and listen to your concerns. I’ve always made it a priority to be accessible to voters, and I look forward to having an open conversation with you.”
Dunlap was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives, where he served from 1996 until 2005 when he was elected Secretary of State. He held that role from 2005 until 2011, and again from 2013 until 2021. Dunlap has been the State Auditor since 2022.

According to his campaign website, his campaign will focus on the cost of living, establishing a Medicare-for-all program, supporting worker’s rights, defending democracy, and supporting a woman’s right to choose.
The second Congressional seat is open this year, after Democratic Representative Jared Golden announced he is declining to seek re-election. Dunlap launched his campaign prior to Golden announcing his departure.
State Senator Joe Baldacci and former congressional staffer Jordan Wood have also announced that they will be seeking the Democratic nomination for the seat. The primary will be held in June.
Former Republican Governor Paul Lepage has stated that he intends to run for the seat as well, and is widely expected to win his party’s primary.
