This week, only the City Council will meet. Here’s what to expect.

 

Lewiston City Council Workshop and Meeting
Tuesday, July 21st at 6:30 pm
Council Chambers, City Hall, 27 Pine Street

Important topics include:

  • Proposing the Creation of a Charter Commission
  • Confirmation of Mayor Sheline’s nomination of Emily Levasseur to fill the Ward 7 vacancy on the School Committee
  • Reversing the vote taken on January 5, 2026 for Council President, and electing a new Council President if the reversal passes
  • A workshop to provide an update regarding the Cart2Curb solid waste collection program
  • Approving the Letter of Intent with Eco Hospitality Consultants
  • Authorizing the City Administrator to execute an Option Agreement with Bates Mill, LLC for Bates Mill #5
  • Amendments to the Solid Waste Ordinance to define the automated Side Load trash collection program
