This week, the School Committee and the City Council will each hold meetings. Here’s what to expect.

 

Lewiston School Committee Meeting
Monday, March 2nd at 5:30 pm

Important topics include:

  • An employee recognition
  • A vote on procedural rules
  • A goals discussion
  • Future agenda structure planning
  • Subcommittee appointments and other roles
  • Possible vote on School Calendar

Lewiston City Council Workshop and Meeting (RESCHEDULED FROM 2/23)
Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00 pm (Regular Meeting starts at 7:00pm)

Important topics include:

  • A workshop about a possible Cart2Curb trash pick-up program
  • Final passage for ordinance restricting lot rent increases at mobile home parks
  • Final passage to create a standing Public Health Committee
  • First passage of a permanent ordinance limiting city employees’ interactions with federal immigration enforcement agents
  • A TIF for 59 Park Street
  • Financial guarantee agreement from the city regarding the Colisee
  • Authorizing resolution to assess needs of individuals affected by the mass shooting
